Independent Utah CIS reporting

THE PUBLICATION

About

The Semester Ledger is an independent U.S.-English publication for students reading the records and decisions around University of Utah Campus Information Services.

Our editorial purpose

We explain the relationships among planned classes, confirmed enrollment, tuition-account activity, aid stages and academic progress. The reader should leave with a more precise question and the right official source, not a false impression that this website can change a University record.

The twelve articles cover registration appointments, holds, waitlists, the Fall 2026 reserve-capacity pilot, course-specific deadlines, tuition-bill reading, aid stages, withdrawal consequences, course attributes, degree audits and undergraduate graduation. Employee payroll and faculty administration have different responsibilities; this edition does not treat those services as student-account tools.

Publisher and independence

Responsible publisher: Sasha berg. Publication contact: bergsaha@corp.com.

This publication is not affiliated with, sponsored by or operated by the University of Utah. Subject names identify the subjects of the articles, not the publisher. The publisher funds this website. This publication does not receive affiliate commissions or payment for the articles in this collection.

University names identify subjects of reporting. We do not use University logos, imitate an authenticated CIS screen, collect credentials or offer University support. Official services are listed by University Information Technology.

Sources and dates

Public official sources were reviewed October 15, 2026. Each article identifies its sources and their scope. Fall 2026 dates are labeled as that term’s examples, including dates already past at review. A source review is not an account test or a guarantee that a later policy, deadline or interface is unchanged.

This collection was prepared with automated assistance using the public sources cited in the articles. A source-check date records a source review, not a professional certification or an account test. The publisher is responsible for deciding what is published and for assessing reported corrections.

The Bursar homepage returned an access error during research. This edition therefore does not reproduce unverified payment-plan fees, current payment terms or a purported authenticated bill layout. Financial articles use accessible official Financial Aid and Registrar material and original record-reading analysis. Readers must consult the current official service for account-specific obligations.

Original tools and illustrations

Six local editorial diagrams explain relationships without portraying actual people, records or University screens. The Session Deadline Comparator subtracts calendar dates supplied by the reader. It does not retrieve deadlines, use personal data, decide eligibility or submit an action. A no-JavaScript worked example remains readable.

Corrections and limits

Use the publication contact address to report a broken source, an unclear passage or an error. Include the article address and a public reference. This website does not access University accounts, accept student records or provide official University of Utah support.

We do not provide individualized academic, financial, legal, immigration or tax advice. No admission, enrollment, tuition, aid or graduation outcome is promised. Contact the appropriate University office for an actual record or decision. Report publication errors through Contact without sending private records.
